FUNDING REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUALS

To be considered for a grant, applicants must send a package of materials to the Foundation for receipt by July 1.

It must contain:

• A letter that fully describes the project the applicant wishes to be funded for, as well as the dollar amount being requested for the project.
• A recent CV that also includes the names, titles, addresses and phone numbers of at least five professional references.
• A complete first chapter of the applicant’s book or a completed short story, or
• A selection of the applicant’s poetry or a published chapbook, or
• A one-act play the applicant has written.
• A $25 non-refundable processing fee, made out to the Elizabeth George Foundation.

This will begin the process of applying for a grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation. Once the first set of material has been received and reviewed, applicants will be informed about going on to Stage Two of the process.

The deadline for receipt of all material - which will ultimately have to include five letters of
recommendation from professionals in the field at Stage Two of the process – is November 1.
